EP3: Carter Davidson, the “Outdoor Adventures Film Producer”

Carter was raised in the western mountains of Maine in the mountain Village town of Bethel, located on the banks of the Androscoggin River.

Carter Davidson is an avid fly fisherman, has worked as a producer of outdoor adventure television programs and documentaries, and is the executive producer of Gray Ghost Productions.

Beginning in 2000, Carter got his start with Maine Public Broadcasting, producing and editing a long list of Emmy-nominated magazine series and documentaries. Later, he traveled across the globe to locations such as New Zealand, France, Argentina, Chile, and British Columbia to film all sorts of outdoor adventures, from extreme skiing, whitewater rafting and kayaking, skydiving, mountain biking, and of course, fly fishing. In 2007 Carter founded the video production company.

Gray Ghost Productions served to launch Carter into fly fishing film production to capture the essence of fly fishing through his creative vision.

Carter and his multi-talented wife, Sarah, live in North Conway, New Hampshire, and are the proud parents to two beautiful humans, their son, Miles, and daughter, Addie. Carter and Sarah enjoy exploring the rivers and mountains of the surrounding area, both as guides and with friends.

Carter is widely regarded as the most prolific film producer of Maine fly fishing films and endeavors to capture the magic and unique qualities of the places and people he shares this with.
